week 2 forum : A Question of Authenticity

As a wildlife photographer, we always try to pursue the lightning motion of birds in their diving for prey.

Owners of camouflage shelter have to make sure that their clients return home with satisfying pictures. They add some tricks to help their customers like this

The kingfisher was lured to dive into the pre-placed net of fish and by cropping the above photo, it become a successful high speed photo for a common kingfisher, do we accept this photo despite it is authentic in nature but “staged” by the photographer?

But how would this compare to our portraiture photographer? Are all their models being asked to pose for the photographer? Why is there a double standard when Jose Luis Rodriguez was stripped of his award of wildlife photographer of the year because he use a “loan wolf”? We may argue that it was the entry requirement that impose the restriction that all animals has to be genuinely wild.

The kingfisher in the picture is wild and not in captivity, so this is an authentic masterpiece?
